We're starting a special offer now through Friday, December 23rd. Go to the bottom of this email for details.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am so thankful to have each and every one of you in my life. Not only from a business perspective, but all of you make my day brighter when you come to visit the store. I love how many of you know my name and share your quilting lives with me. I have such a passion for quilting and believe it enriches all of our lives. I started this business so women could have an outlet for their creative talents and be able to share those talents with family and a community of quilters. This business and quilting is about so much more than the finished product. I strongly believe that all of us improve our self confidence and add to our self worth by practicing the art of quilting. The finished quilts are only a small portion of what makes our endeavors worthwhile. You all enrich my life beyond belief. I now wonder what I would do without you.
My niece, Coco, and I made infinity scarves. It was her first time using my sewing machine by herself. She did everything but cut the fabric. She was excellent at pinning and sewing. The iron scared her a little but she managed. We used the double gauze fabric now available in the store- we both chose the cat fabrics. I went to Blick's art supply store a couple of weeks ago and every single female sales associate stopped me to tell me how much they liked my scarf. They were all in their late twenties and early thirties. Keep these in mind when making small gifts for the holidays.
I have many double gauze bolts on order that have a more mature look. Let's face it, we can't wear cats everywhere. They should be arriving after the beginning of the year. I can't believe what a beautiful selection I had to choose from. I bought many bolts considering the last time I had them in stock you guys bought them up in less then a week.
We received many receiving blankets for Haiti during our drive. Over 400! You guys are great! Thank you to all of the individuals and guilds that participated. Kathy's daughter, Kelsey, took as many as she could pack with her a few weeks ago. They were much appreciated by the entire medical and support staff team. The staff will bring more and more as they make trips to help with the effort. Here are some great pics:
