In the cutting instruction change the size for the wreath rectangles. They should be 5"x 4 1/2". This means that the bold italic copy under "Creating the Border Blocks:" should read "Frame the 5" wide x 4 1/2" high fussy cut rectangles:"
The cutting instructions for the "Solid Pea Pod Green" need to change: You need only four, instead of five, 3 1/4" strips. Cut four, instead of eight, 3 1/4" x 12" rectangles.
We're sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
We have a few new kits in the shop. We'll share three now and others in upcoming emails. The first kit uses the "Indelible" collection from Art Gallery. It's perfect for those of you who like neutrals.
Our Stepping Stones pattern makes this deer print stand out. Hearts for the girls and deer for the boys!
We've modernized our veggie prints in this table runner:
Fun for kids or, the kid in all of us, are foxes and other cuties. "Timerland Critters" is new from AdornIt.
Tula Pink has designed Moon Shine for Free Spirit. LOVE THESE DEER!
Now you can see why we needed those deer we rescued! Come take a look at our new displays. They are one of my favorite things in a long time!
Finally! The main floral from the Ghastlies collection is now in the store. And I couldn't pass up another "Sebastian" cat print. If you've already purchased from this collection you'll have to stop by and see the new additions.
As fall is just around the corner, Halloween's "Witchful Thinking" from Clothworks is now in stock. Hurry up! The panel is almost gone!
We now have our own pattern, Larpentuer, using the Hex N More! Shannon Quigley, our fabulous lang-arm machine artist, made a baby quilt using hexs like “beads on a string”. I liked it so much I asked her to make a throw version for the store. I think it is stunning! She uses the Hex N More somewhat differently than Julie Herman- Hex N More’s maker. Learn her approach during this two night class. Kits in this colorway are also available. Click here to register!
New from RJR Fabrics if the Flutter collection:
We also had to buy this fabric from RJR. Very folkloric! I love the bunnies and owls.
New from Moda are their Jelly Bean Batiks. The first batik arrivals with more to come.
The new year is right around the corner, and to celebrate we're having a one day only sale on January 1st.
20% off fabric, notions and books.* Sale fabrics marked down 50-70%!
Block of the Month 2014
Block of the Month meets once a month in the morning for one year, beginning in February. Come in on the second Saturday of every month at 9:00am or 11:00am to receive fabric and instructions for specific blocks. Each session runs approximately 45 minutes. Make one or more blocks each month before coming back to class the next month and receive the next set of fabrics and instructions.
We also catch you up on Twin Cities Quilting’s new offerings, showing you the latest patterns, books and fabric available. It’s a great way to become part of our community. Each month we have show and tell, letting you see what others in your community have been creating. It’s a fun, upbeat way to start your weekend. Join with your quilting friends and have a year long plan to get together. Many groups will meet for coffee, breakfast or lunch at one of the many close restaurants before or after class.
The class fee includes instructions and fabric that are passed out during the monthly class. We give you approximately 3/8 yard every month (plenty of leftovers to create a scrappy quilt). By purchasing a kit you’ll receive: 1) enough background fabric to make the background blocks, rails, and border, 2) all block framing fabric 3) all the inner and outer fabric.
Visit our website to see both the colorways, Botanics (shown above) and Batiks, and to register.
*New Year's Sale: 1/2 yard minimum cut. Includes pre-cut regularly priced half yards. Batting by the yard, select new arrival fabrics, classes, gift certificates and new kits excluded.
May's Table Runner Tuesday will be held at 6:30pm on May 29th. Diamonds, strip piecing, bias edges and color blocking will be discussed while you begin making this runner. Click here to read more and register.
